On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it gives me great pleasure and honour to welcome you to the IEEE Symposium on Future Telecommunication Technologies 2022 (SOFTT 2022) in Johor, Malaysia. Praise to the Almighty, This year, we have chosen to hold the conference in a hybrid format, co-located with the IEEE International Symposium on Telecommunication Technologies 2022 (ISTT 2022) in the beautiful southern Malaysian city of Johor Baharu. SOFTT2022 brought together the IEEE Comsoc Indonesia Chapter and the IEEE Malaysia Comsoc/VTS Joint Chapter for the first time. Annually organized by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Telkom University, Indonesia, SOFTT 2022 invites all world-renowned industry and academic speakers to present their most recent research works.

The theme of SOFTT 2022 is “Innovations for Future Intelligent Networks” and we intend to bring together experts, academicians, industries, and researchers to discuss crucial future telecommunications issues, share information, and drive innovation. Focusing on the selected area of future communication technologies especially related to AI, the topics covered beyond 5G and 6G communication, advanced communication application in agriculture, biomedical, smart cities, digital communities and so on. The event will have 1-day tutorial, physical and online keynotes, industry forum and technical paper presentation.

This event also will have a joint keynotes speaker with ISTT 2022 which are

• Mr. Ramesh Rao – Senior Director of Engineering, Qualcomm San Diego, CA.
• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chee Wei Tan – Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
• Prof. Dr. Mohamed-Slim Alouini – King Abdullah University od Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia.
